Ciao tutti!!! Blog dei volontari

Hi everyone!
I'm Ludwig from Sweden and i've been a volunteer in Mantova, Italy, since september 2011. I work in a "SOS Villaggio Dei Bambini" and for you all that don't know what it's can tell that it's like a home for children with social problems. This is an amazing work because it's not only you that help them, the kids help you to every day. Regular basic stuff you don't can learn outside a "Home", like what the kids in italy eat for breakfast, who is the coolest pop-star and so on. But I haven't only learned about kids stuff, the educators in the villaggio has also shown great support and I remember on day when I got in the car with on colleague and we went 10 miles for buying some good food we couldn't find in our city. My Italian has also developed a lot, when I arrived I didn't know a word and now I speak and understand without any problem. I'm grateful for being a part of this village and this project InCo has provided. For you all that thinking of being a part of an European Voluntary Service I say, don't hesitate. To been an volunteer is a great experience, you learn thinks you never though you would learn, you get to see things you never thought you would see. I don't think that I only talks for me now, I think and hope all volunteers feel and think the same way as me.
It's simply an experience you never will forget...
