I was one year in Italy, Vicenza and have worked with children. This was a great project and I really enjoyed it. The children were great and I felt that my help made a real difference. Overall, I rate my experience here very highly and have made a lot of great new friends along the way. It is amazing just to realise how much I have learned in one year. My favorite part from my volunteering experience was meeting all of the amazing people that I did and creating lifelong friendships. I intend to keep in touch and hopefully visit again in the future.
I feel volunteering was a very worthwhile use of my time and valuable experience. I feel my help was appreciated by the organisation, the orphanage, the children. And I also gained a positive experience and learning.
