Italian chapter of life Blog dei volontari
Hello, my name is Bogna. I am from Poland and I am 29 years old. I started my ESC project in Trento, Italy, 6 months ago in September. I am doing my project in InCo - an NGO organisation that promotes international exchanges and manages several international mobility projects for young people.
I am involved in creating social media content, doing podcasts, promoting volunteering at schools and creating workshops. My service here is very diverse, it is a mix between office jobs, brainstorming on projects and managing communication tasks.
I decided to do an ESC project because I wanted to try new things and see how it is going to be to live abroad. That was my first experience abroad that will last almost a year. The beginning was challneging. Mostly because of the language barrier but also because of the new challenges - like new responsibilities, new roommates, new city and new community to fit in.
After 3 months I have started to feel more comfortable and after 6 I am able to say that I feel really good in this place. I am still learning a lot of stuff. Every day I am discovering something- new italian recipe, shortcut in the city, some facts about cultures of my roommates or italian phrases that I still can not prounace.
I like the fact that I dedicated this year to this experience. I really appreciate this time here and can’t wait to spend spring and summer here and do even more creative projects with my team ;)
