"This journey is the opportunity to deeply connect with the locals, sharing stories, traditions, and laughter." - Ali's Experience in Italy Blog dei volontari
Salam alaikom, Ciao! I'm Ali, a 23-year-old from Morocco, currently living in Pergine Valsugana, Trento, Italy. One of the main reasons I embarked on this journey was my desire to learn more about Italian culture and language.
And let me tell you, it's been an amazing experience! From indulging in traditional dishes (I like pizza) to exploring captivating landscapes and lakes (Molveno, Liveco, Caldonazzo…) every moment has been a lesson in culture and language. What's truly remarkable about this journey is the opportunity to deeply connect with the locals, sharing stories, traditions, and laughter. Despite moments of doubt and difficulty, the unwavering support of my colleagues and Inco keeps me going. It's been an incredible experience being part of the ESC project at the youth center #Kairos. I've discovered my passion for working with young adults, whether it's helping them with homework, organizing fun games, or fostering teamwork through sports activities.
But wait, there's more! Wednesdays are extra special as I get to volunteer at a kindergarten, immersing myself in cozy atmospheres and playful energy as an English teacher. Each day brings new challenges and rewards, pushing me to learn and grow.
Trust me, if you're hesitant about stepping out of your comfort zone, take the leap. The exhilarating moments and invaluable insights you gain along the way make it all worthwhile.
