Ciao!
My name is Ilke. I’m 27 years old and I come from Istanbul, Turkey. I had started learning Italian and chose to come here to improve. I do volunteering at Casa di Riposo Don Bosco, a care home for the elderly.
I believe I have choosed the right project for me. I adore the elderly and I am very lucky to have the opportunity to work with them. My task is basically to spend time with them and doing animation, playing games. For their birthdays I knit roses for them and my fellow volunteers prepare birthday cards. We dance with the elderly during musical activities. When we ask the elderly how they are doing, they often respond, “We are good every day which we see you.” I truly enjoy my work and always think “there is so much love in here”.
