There’s still a looooot to live Blog
Ciao! My name is Anna, I’m from Barcelona and I came here to do a volunteering year in Bolzano after finishing my bachelor’s degree and working one year as a teacher in Spain, looking for a new experience.
I’m volunteering for VKE, participating in different projects in the field of pedagogy and children entertainment: I’ve been going around with the Spielbus / Ludobus, bringing games to several towns. I’ve also spent some time in Spielhaus / Casagioco, playing with children and doing some crafts with them. Moreover, I’ve also taken part in some exciting one-time projects; for example, this week we are coloring the walls of a school with children. It’s been amazing!
For now, I can say that I’m very happy with my volunteering! And, I must say that the European Voluntary Service, is much more than just the volunteering project. Living one year abroad is a wonderful opportunity on itself (Even if time flies. I can’t believe I have already been here for almost two months): it is about having the chance of living in a different country, about getting used to live by your own far away from home and sharing a flat with other volunteers, about learning a new language and exploring a new city and its surroundings (for those of us who like nature and mountains, this place is really the paradise).
And, I guess there’s still a looooot to live: travelling around Italy, getting to know new people, etc. I’m really looking forward to the next months of my volunteering!
