“Un giorno, una vita" - l'inizio dell'esperienza ESC di Naomé Blog
My name is Naomé, I'm 20 and I'm doing my voluntary work with Inco and Civici13 in Trento, Italy. I'm staying with 4 other people in a flat in Pergine.
I arrived in Italy on 11 September, and on the first evening I was warmly welcomed by my flatmates. We all had a meal together to get to know each other better, and even though I was tired, I was happy to meet new people.
I started work on Monday 16 September. I met my tutor Marco, who's really nice and made me feel really welcome. He explained everything to me really well and I felt really at ease as part of the team. During my internship I'll be taking photos/videos of our activities. But also design, canva, story insta, etc...
This experience in the space of just one week allowed me to visit the most beautiful lake in Italy with Spanish volunteers, and as I speak Spanish it was really easy to communicate with them. It was very windy but the scenery was just beautiful. It was a bit far from Trento but the tour of the lake is well worth it and with the transport card we have it's great because you don't have to pay for transport.
I've also met quite a few people, like the people I work with at Inco or Civici13. But also other CES volunteers. I've also learnt what it's like to have to think about cooking morning, noon and night, it's pretty hard to be creative :). In my spare time, I visited Trento and Pergine a lot.
During this year, I would have Italian lessons, training, a week in Rome, and also several meetings with all the volunteers who came to Italy. So levels of meeting new people from all over the world I'm really looking forward to.
I'm really glad I jumped at the chance to travel and I hope the rest will be as good as the beginning.
Naomé ;) <3
