The volunteers will be involved in everyday activities carried out in the organization and other locations in town based on a particular activity. The volunteers will work generally 36 hours/week from 9 to 13 and in the afternoon also from 16 to 19.
The main activities of the project include:
- Assist the staff members in organizing and preparing the area of the bar, beach, leisure and relax space such as chairs and tables, books, games, grill etc..;
- Organize and carry out activities for children, such as energizers, reading, drawing, playing, sports...;
- Support and assist children or adults with disabilities at the beach or in using services of the organization, coordinating and organizing recreational activities for them;
- Making arts and crafts out of objects and rubbish found on the beach, such as bottles, taps, nets...
- Participating in events and celebrations organized for some national or religious holidays (for example “The night of San Lorenzo”, etc...);
- Taking part in cleaning initiatives, either the sea or the nearby area;
- Supporting the staff in everyday activities, by occasionally preparing some typical dishes from
volunteer’s home country, doing barbecue, gardening, etc...;
- Creating promotional material and digital content such as photos, videos, posters, brochures,
blogs... Updating social media channels and web site;
- Organizing language laboratories, language caffe, tandem etc...;
- Organizing a sort of ‘’free walking tours’’ in Molfetta for foreign travelers.
A very important part play the complementary activities, where all the volunteers take part and are actively involved with their creativity and ideas. They consist in: Christmas Chorus in November- December, literature events (the volunteers read poems in mother tongue), international evenings, dissemination event regarding Europe (Europe day, Holocaust day, International day for the elimination of violence against women, etc...).

Requirements for participation:
- Candidate should be over 18 years old and registered to the ESC portal ;
- Must be very motivated and committed to the voluntary activity;
- Interested in the topic of the project;
- A minimum B1 level of English. Knowledge of italian language is a plus
Candidates who will fill a generic application form, with no details and without clear motivation will be not considered. Candidates who are applying only for the willing of travelling or just because would like to meet previous friends/boyfriend/girlfriend/relatives in Italy will not be considered.
Please consider that it is not allowed to have any other job activity during the project or to be beneficiary of any other European grant.

- Candidates can apply just for 1 project, in case would like to apply for more projects, they are invited to send different application forms with clear explanation and motivation for each specific project.
- Email's subject must be: "ESC volunteering for [name of hosting organization]". Emails without the specific subject will not be included in the selection process.
- Emails which do not follow the indications will not be processed as valid applications and will be directed again to this announcement.
- Successful applications will receive an email of confirmation.
The volunteers will live in a fully equipped flat/board house together with other volunteers, in the city of Molfetta (double room).
The lodging choice will be always decided by InCo. In any case volunteers will have to respect the rules of the structure and the environment where they live.
There are possibilities for the volunteers to have their meals at home, in the kitchen which is fully furnished. So in this case an additional amount of money will be provided corresponding to 180 euros.
IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO HOST ANY THIRD PERSON IN THE VOLUNTEER FLAT.
IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO HAVE EXTRA HOLIDAYS IN DECEMBER IN ADDITION TO CHRISTMASS HOLIDAYS. VOLUNTEERS ARE REQUIRED TO WORK UNTIL THE 23RD OF DECEMBER!!!
