Bella Italia Blog dei volontari
Ciao,
Sono Rebekka :)
As a child, I visited Italy several times for vacation. That’s when my love for this wonderful country started. And now, I am actually living here. The first few days felt a bit like a vacation, but now I’m happy to gain deeper insights into the Italian lifestyle and culture

Besides all the lovely parts of living in Italy, I’m also really grateful for the school where I’m volunteering! It’s the perfect opportunity to get to know a different school system and gain experience for my desired career as a primary school teacher. Moreover, it’s a great way to learn the Italian language.
I’m learning Italian while the kids are learning German.
I’m grateful for this experience. I’m learning a lot—about myself, cultures, and people. I’m collecting memories, but I’m also facing difficult situations. Living in another country without speaking the language fluently isn’t always easy. Sometimes it’s hard to step out of my comfort zone, but it’s always worth it.
