Testimonianza CES Arianna Prudel - Pamplona, Spagna Blog dei volontari
¡Hola! I am Arianna, 23, from Caldonazzo, a small village near Trento. I am currently
writing from Pamplona, Spain, where I am living for a year as part of my volunteer
project with the European Solidarity Corps.

So far, I couldn’t be happier and more satisfied with my decision. I am truly enjoying
every aspect of this experience - my work/volunteering, personal life, and
friendships. Spain is giving me so many memories and experiences that are
enriching my personal and professional journey immensely.
I am working with SETEM, an NGO focused on raising awareness about global
inequalities between the Global North and South, fair trade, and responsible
consumption. In practice, we run several active projects and campaigns. For
example, we work on the "Clean Clothes Campaign", an international initiative
promoting a more responsible approach to clothing consumption and raising
awareness about the negative impact of fast fashion. Another project involves
educational activities on the chocolate production process, which is closely linked to
a cooperation program that directly supports small producers in Peru. In addition to
these, SETEM carries out many other projects, both locally and internationally.
I have the opportunity to participate in and contribute to almost all areas of the
organization, allowing me to gain a deeper understanding of the different aspects of
the NGO sector. Personally, I find this incredibly stimulating and educational. One of
my main responsibilities is managing digital communication, including social media,
the website, and online outreach.
I feel very fortunate to have found a project that aligns so well with my interests and
provides me with valuable training in areas I wanted to explore further. I truly believe
the ESC program is a fantastic opportunity for young people to gain direction,
engage with different realities in various countries, and learn a lot - both
professionally and personally.
At SETEM, I have found a family that has welcomed me in the best possible way,
offering me many exciting opportunities and new challenges. And beyond the people
- who, in the end, are what truly make a place special - Pamplona has also been a
wonderful surprise! It’s a really livable city, I get around by bike, exploring its many
green spaces, and even though it’s not very big, it’s full of life and events!
If you are between 18 and 29 years old, I highly recommend taking part in an
experience like the European Solidarity Corps! You don’t have to commit for a whole
year - there are also short-term projects - but the knowledge and experience you
gain will undoubtedly be worth it!
